Privacy
Short version: no cookies, no tracking, no analytics, no third-party content. Cloudflare delivers this site and sees your IP address while doing so. If you ask the site a question, Cloudflare's AI answers it. If you write to me or use the contact form, I use your message to reply.

2. What this site does not do
This site sets no cookies and uses no tracking, analytics, embedded third-party content or externally loaded fonts. Text is set in fonts already installed on your device. The local time shown on the site is calculated in your browser; no data is sent for it.
3. Hosting by Cloudflare
This site is delivered through Cloudflare Pages, provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, date and time of the request, the requested address, your browser's user agent and the referrer. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure, for example to fend off attacks.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: my legitimate interest is a secure and reliable website. Cloudflare processes this data on my behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so transfers to the USA rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR) and, as a fallback, on standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
4. Asking the site a question
You can ask this site questions about me. Your question, and the previous questions and answers of the same visit, are sent to Cloudflare Workers AI, which generates the answer with an open-source language model running on Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare acts as my processor under the same data processing agreement as in section 3. I do not store questions or answers, and the site does not keep them after you leave the page. Please don't enter personal information in questions.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: my legitimate interest is answering visitors' questions about me. Answers are generated automatically and can be wrong; what is written on the site and what I say myself takes precedence.
5. Contact form
If you use the contact form, I process the topic you choose, your name, your email address and your message, plus your IP address for a short time to stop abuse. The form sends your message to me by email and sends you one short confirmation that doesn't repeat what you wrote. Both emails are delivered by Resend, Inc. (USA), acting as my processor under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). Resend is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so transfers rely on the adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). The IP address is kept for at most ten minutes and only to rate-limit the form.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (answering your request), or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your message concerns a contract. The message then sits in my mailbox (section 6) and I delete it once it is no longer needed, unless the law requires me to keep it.
6. Contacting me
If you email me, I process your email address and your message to reply. If you call me or message me on WhatsApp, I process your phone number and what you send. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your message concerns a contract. I delete this data once it is no longer needed, unless the law requires me to keep it.
My email is hosted by Zoho Corporation B.V., Beneluxlaan 4B, 3527 HT Utrecht, Netherlands, acting as my processor. WhatsApp is operated by WhatsApp Ireland Limited; if you use it, its privacy policy applies.
7. Links to other services
This site links to LinkedIn, Instagram, GitHub and X. These are plain links: no data reaches those services unless you click one. From then on, their privacy policies apply.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). An email to [email protected] is enough.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the EU member state where you live.
9. Visitors from the US
I do not sell or share personal information. Do Not Track signals change nothing here, because nothing is tracked in the first place.
